Recenzija oblikovane nosiljke: Soul Slings AseemA

Poznati indijski proizvođač Soul Slings u tajnosti je radio na razvijanju nove prilagodljive nosiljke, nosive od rođenja pa sve do kraja nošenja. Činilo se da je njena prethodnica AnoonA nosiljka koja pruža sve, no dizajniranje sasvim nove i drugačije nosiljke bila je Soulova jasna izjava da svojim kupcima želi dati ono najbolje.

AseemA je sličnija Soulovoj nosiljci Standard ili Toddler nego Anooni.

AnoonA je nosiljka koja je dizajnirana tako da može omogućiti i nošenje bebe sprijeda, okrenute od nositelja: pojas je tvrd i ravan, na gornjem dijelu panela je široko tvrdo ojačanje, donji dio panela može se sužavati na dva načina, i naramenice su oblikovane tako da mogu dobro rasporediti težinu s obzirom na pomicanje težišta, ovisno o položaju bebe.

Najčešći prigovori na Anoonu odnosili su se na pojas i kapuljaču. Kapuljača je nažalost prekratka za visoke gegavce, a pojas se savija pod velikim opterećenjem jer većina ljudi, usprkos uputama, pojas nosi prelabavo.

AseemA je pak dizajnirana tako da se u njoj može nositi samo sprijeda prema nositelju i na leđima: ima zaobljeni pojas, nosi se niže na kukovima, naramenice su mekše ali deblje, cijeli je panel iskrojen tako da prati rast tijela bebe i daje potporu volumenu koji se povećava pod drugačijim kutevima, slično kao Isara The One i Boba X.  AseemA ima i odličnu uklonjivu lumbalnu potporu, kao i torbicu koju možete koristiti i neovisno o nosiljci.

Panel se diže i spušta prema potrebi tako da klizi po gurtni ušivenoj na naramenicu i u donji dio panela.

Baza panela sužava se i proširuje ovisno o dobi i veličini bebe, što nije ništa neobično u eri prilagodljivih multifunkcionalnih nosiljaka koje “rastu s bebom”. Ono što je neobično jest što se čičak lijepi po bazi od gurtne, ušivene pod kutem tako da nalikuje na bumerang.

Cijela nosiljka je izuzetno kvalitetno sašivena, u potpunosti od tkane marame Tano, iz Soulove proizvodnje. Soul ima odlične tkane marame, strojno i ručno tkane. Imala sam prilike isprobati i ručno tkane Harmony, Prism Joy, kao i strojno tkane Imperial i Corallium, te kako se ponašaju u oblikovanih nosiljkama poput onbuhima.

Je li AseemA doista nosiva od rođenja..?

Uvijek se ograđujem od nošenja novorođenčadi u oblikovanim nosiljkama od rođenja pa ni ovaj put neću napraviti iznimku.

Mada je nerazumno očekivati od jedne nosiljke da bude odlična i za malu bebu i za velikog gegavca, isprobala sam ju i s novorođenčetom, s dvomjesečnom bebom, sa svojim sedmomjesečnim sinom, a i muž i ja smo isprobali i s našim trogodišnjakom.

Čini se da AseemA pruža dovoljnu podršku novorođenčetu no treba uzeti u obzir da, usprkos uputama, većina roditelja i staratelja neće znati namjestiti nosiljku kako treba bez pomoći. Boje se stegnuti nosiljku i tako, nenamjerno, posjedaju bebu i vrše pritisak na bebine kukove i zdjelicu, i to prije ultrazvučnog pregleda kukova kojega treba obaviti tijekom prva dva mjeseca. Nakon mjesec dana većina se upozna barem s osnovama postupanja (babyhandling) a i ne boje se više toliko da će “potrgati bebu”.

S dvomjesečnom bebicom AseemA već izgleda odlično.

Ono što omogućuje odličnu potporu i maloj bebi i teškom gegavcu jest prepoznavanje načina na koji tijelo drugačije građe ispunjava panel. I mlađi i stariji sin nose se u Aseemi raširenoj do kraja ali mlađi dublje upada u panel i tako nastaju ovi prazni “vrhovi” u panelu, koje stariji sin popuni jer pliće i šire ispunjava panel nosiljke.

AseemA je izuzetno udobna, a bome i lijepa nosiljka, s nekoliko vrlo zanimljivih rješenja. Ono po čemu bih ju izdvojila od sličnih nosiljaka jest njena jednostavnost: uz torbicu, lumbalnu potporu i uklonjivu kapuljaču nema nikakvih dodatnih dijelova. Namijenjena je ljudima koji namjeravaju puno nositi svoje bebe blizu srca i ne misle gubiti vrijeme ni novac na traženje one jedne savršene nosiljke jer je AseemA sve što im treba.

Bebe prebrzo rastu.

Well known Indian manufacturer Soul Slings was developing in secrecy a new adjustable carrier, wearable from birth until the day the wearer and wearee outgrow wearing. It seemed that AseemA’s predecessor AnoonA is a carrier that can give you everything, but it seems that designing a new and different carrier was a clear Soul’s statement that they want to give their customers the best options.

AseemA looks a bit more like Soul’s Standard Full Buckle Carrier or Toddler  than AnoonA.

AnoonA is a carrier is designed  for carrying the baby in front, facing  in and forward facing out: the waistband is firm and flat, the upper part of the panel has a wide firm reinforcement, lower part of the panel can be shortened in two different ways and the straps are shaped in a way that can place weight well, taking the shifting center of gravity into consideration, depending on the position of the baby.

The most common customer complaints for AnoonA were made about the waistband and the hood. The hood is sadly too short for a tall toddler and the waistband bends under a greater weight, just  because most people, despite the instructions, wear it too loose.

AseemA is designed so you can carry just in the front facing in and on the back: it has a rounded waistband, it sits lower, almost on the hips, the straps are softer but thicker, the whole panel is tailored in a way that it support the baby’s growing body in every stage, and gives a great fit for the increasing volume under different angles, similar to Isara The One and Boba X, just without any additional parts needed.

AseemA offers a deeper seat than AnoonA, for wearees of any age.

AseemA has some very interesting and unique solutions.

The panel can be lifted and lowered by sliding up and down on the webbing, which is sewn on the strap and in the lower part of the panel. The base of the panel can be narrowed and expanded depending on the babies age and size, all in all not uncommon in the era of the adjustable multifunctional carriers that grow with the baby. Another unusual feature lies in the the velcro which is attached on the webbing, sewn under an angle: it makes it resemble a boomerang.

The finish of the whole carrier is of a great quality. The seams are perfect. This reviewed AseemA is sewn entirely from Tano, a woven wrap from Soul’s own production. Soul has fantastic wovens, both machine and hand woven. I have had the opportunity to make reviews of Harmony, Prism Joy, Imperial and Corallium, and see how they perform in a soft structured carrier like an onbuhimo.

Can AseemA be used from the birth on…?

I always distance myself from carrying newborns in structured carriers so I will not make an exception this time (the European babywearing is just strict in its own way, no matter if you have respect for schools of thought which are different from your own).

Although it is unreasonable to expect that one carrier alone will be great for both a small baby and a toddler, I had an opportunity to try AseemA with a newborn, a two-month-old, my seven-month-old, and both my husbund and I have tried it with our three-year-old.

It seems That Aseema gives enough support to a tiny newborn body, but you must consider that, inspite the efforts to make a resourceful community and the best of instructions, most parents and caregivers can not adjust the carrier correctly without any help. They are afraid to tighten the carrier well, and because of that fear, unintentionally, most parents put their baby in the sitting position and apply unwanted pressure to baby’s hips and pelvis, all before the standard check in; a simple hip ultrasound which is done during the first two months of the baby’s life (in some European countries it is done in the first few days of life, but Croatia is not there yet..) After one month most of the parents are acquainted with basic babyhandling and are not in fear that they will „break the baby“. AseemA looks great with a two-month-old.

The very thing that gives a great support to both a small baby and a big toddler is knowing the way in which the body fills in the panel. My younger and my older son are carried in AseemA spread out all the way. The difference is in the fact my younger son makes a deeper seat, leaving these empty pleats in the panel. Those pleats are spread with my older son because he fills in the panel shallower and wider.

AseemA (ಅಸೀಮ in Kannada language) means “limitless”.

Aseema is a exceptionally comfortable, and a beautiful carrier, with several very interesting solutions. What makes it different from other carriers of its type is its simplicity: it has no extra parts, beside the pouch, lumbar support and removable hood. It is made for people in mind, that plan to carry their babies close to their heart often, and do not plan to waste their time or money on a search for the one perfect carrier, because AseemA is all they need.

Babies grow too fast.
